Two years ago on April 14th, I had the pleasure of documenting one of the most gorgeous and love filled wedding days. The ceremony and reception took place in the backyard at the bride’s family’s lake house in Hawthorne, FL.

The Ceremony site was set with a riverfront view and the couple had rented a tent from Luxe Party Rentals to host their guest for dinner and cake. Everything was set out beautifully and the location was a picture perfect backdrop for their special day! My favorite part? The surprise getaway car that the couple drove off in at the end of the night.

Lately, lot of venues having been closing indefinitely or are now permanently closed due to Covid-19 and leaving brides having to reschedule, find a new date, and find a new venue to accommodate their future event (for after restrictions are lifted of course). I just want to remind couples that marriage isn’t canceled, love isn’t canceled and you can still get married even if it’s in the backyard of a private residence. It still can be beautiful and the day will still be about you and your fiancé saying yes to forever.

I personally would love to see more of these intimate backyard weddings! Keep them coming! (:

I love this guest book idea! The bride decided on anniversary wine bottles with a label that her guest could write on and sign. The bottles were numbered for each anniversary year.
